HEREDITY🧬

The process of transmission of genetic traits/characters from one generation to another, ie., from parents to offspring is called heredity. The offsprings differ from one another and also from their parents in a few characters. The similarities, and in many cases dissimilarities are inherited by the offspring from their parents. Why do children resemble their parents? This is because the parents (both mother and father) pass on genes to their children through gametes during sexual reproduction. And these genes control the expression of characters in the young ones. So, children can attain characteristics of either of their parents or maybe of their grandparents too.
